Amidst all of the brides getting married in 2010, two are especially dear to my heart! Yes, it will be a hectic next few months because I will be a bridesmaid for DOS with both weddings in the month of July.
JULY 3 : Kathy & Will
Kathy and I have known each other a little short of ten years. The first time we met, we automatically hit it off and became inseparable. We saw each other every Sunday at church and spent much of our time swooning over and imagining our future weddings, or getting excited/complaining about our "love lives." Thankfully, though, the Lord has grown us both exponentially! Kathy has always been like a little sister to me, and it's crazy that she's getting married! I am thrilled to be involved in her wedding planning and ceremony.

A bad habit/tradition of ours was passing notes during retreat conference sermons. I found this sweet snippet from a retreat in 2003.

Might I add, she has a beautiful thumb and one heck of a rock!

This was a few days after the start of our friendship. We look like babies!
JULY 31 : Sally & Andy
I met Sally on my first day in college. I always like to tease her about my first impressions of her, but she has grown to be such a joy and encouragement in my life. When I look upon some of my best times at Berkeley, I often think of Sally. We have shared so many heartfelt talks and laughs, and I am honored to be a part of her wedding. She is also one of my biggest fans--being so confident in my work and abilities since the very beginning (years before I started Whimsical Thumb). Thanks for believing in me, Sal!

Sally and me on my 20th birthday.

A trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium when a group of us went camping in Big Sur. Can you believe it? Three more months!
