CHEAT SHEET APRONS

About a week ago, I saw this as a plug on a cooking blog. Thinking it was a totally cool idea, I decided to make one for my good friend's upcoming birthday present.

I'm definitely not a cooking expert so I really had no idea as to what cooking tricks and tips to put on her custom apron; so I just decided to design a handy cute conversion chart.

The blank white apron was purchased at Michael's and the iron-on transfer paper at Staples.

It was my first time using iron-on transfer paper, so naturally, I ended up using/wasting 3 sheets of the expensive paper and then burning a portion of it while transferring. That is why I have no pictures of the actual product, but the following pictures show what it was supposed to look like!

Junia's name is on the chest and the chart is upside down for easy reading while wearing. Practical, right?

Here's a closeup. Junia loves sunflowers.

Maybe I should just start making these as gifts! Replace the name and switch up the flower!

JANET CHANG

I'm obsessed with the customization of anything and everything because I believe a one-of-a-kind item reveals the self and transforms ownership into something special. For now, graphic design is only a hobby of mine that I picked up from architecture school, but some days I tickle the thought of making it into a part-time career.
